Action-packed first day of the European Rapid Championship has come to an end. A lot has happened today – opening ceremony with distinguished guests, a side event for girls and of course many exciting chess battles!
Adam Mokrysz, CEO of the Mokate company, who is the main partner of the event has also visited the venue and made a first move in the game between the top seed Navara and Kokol.
On Saturday participants played 6 games, out of total 11 planned in the event.
Tomorrow, Sunday 18th December, is the final day of the Championship. Five remaining games will be played and we will know the winners and we will crown 2022 European Rapid Champions!

Commentators Fiona Steil-Antoni and Piotr Nguyen are doing a fine job explaining all the secrets of grandmaster’s games.
